iCTC (Day 2)

The second day of the camp was 16th June.

Actually I was AWAKE until the scond day. As I told you on the previous post, I slept very little time. Indeed, I actually slept at about 4+ a.m.

Cool, isn't it?
I slept on the next day!

We had CEREAL for breakfast. Nothing wrong with cereal right?
But there's something with the way we eat. As many of us do not have bowls, how do we eat? Tian Ci gave a "Brilliant" idea. I repeat, "BRILLIANT"!

He asked us to get anything that can collect water to eat the cereal, together.
In the end, I took a something like a pail to and ate with Chern Yuen and a few others. Actually, it wasn't a bad idea of Tian Ci. To promote 'bonding' between councillors.

Yes, very nice, yeeeessssssssss.

But it was really a torture to look at the iCMG people eating their nice Bee Hoon.........

After the 'delicious' breakfast, we, the sec one CITs went for a talk with the exco members. Actually, it was a reflection talk in which we reflect about how the other people think about iCouncil. We just need to improve on our weaknesses and be good role models. After the half-an-hour talk, we went to join iCMG for a Peer Mediation training. It is just to learn the win-win solution and bla bla bla... lame....

Soon after that we went for our lunch which was sandwiches.
Very weird hor, lunch eat sandwich?

After lunch we had our long-awaited amazing race. I can tell you, it is simply AMAZING. Guess what, we spent for more than 1 hour just searhing for the first station. Siao.

The amazing race was simply mad. In the end, we had one station left uncompleted. Pathetic.

After the ******* amazing race, we need to prepare for our concert at night. We were thoughtless(wonder is there's such a word?) at first, but we soon came out with a rough idea. We decided to do a skit on teamwork. We used the three little pigs story as an inspiration. We soon had it settled. I was acting as the big, bad wolf, which got killed in the end.

Want to hear the story? Here it goes.

Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. The first one was a Tai-Chi master. The second was a boxing champion, the last was a karate king.
The were in very good terms all the time, until one day, a serious quarrel broke them apart.
And so from that day onwards, they lived by themslves with no contact with each other.

One day, a big, bad wolf came by.
He was very hungry and was desperately looking for a meal.

Soon, he came across the first pig. He immediately attacked it. The pig fought on bravely, but was overpowered by the wolf in the end. Luckily he got away. The same happened with the other two pigs, and the wolf was left was nothing to eat and was outraged.

But what will happen to the poor pigs?

Now, there was a master whom taught the three pigs their martial arts. All of them went to find him to defeat the wolf.

The master said, " I'm old, and cannot fight anymore. But I have a way for you to defeat the wolf. It is Teamwork."

Then he told the pigs the story of the chopsticks. The pigs finally understood.

Soon they met with the wolf again. This time, they attacked together, finally killing the wolf. So, the story ends. So, you should know the moral unless you are mentally retarded.

After the preparation, we went for the BBQ.
After the BBQ was our concert. we were the last group to perform. I hoped I did not perform too bad although I was a bit nervous.

Ok, I shall talk about day three in the next post.
p.s. Alvin Ong started playing maple....... Too bad in Aquilla..... Perhaps I should also start a character in Aquilla........

iCTC Day 1

WOW!WOW!WOW!

It has been a DAM long time since I last posted!

But I must tell you I am really busy.
I had just came back from the dam iCTC and had a sleep yesterday from 5p.m. to 8a.m. this morning!
Pro ah?

That was because I was really tired like shit...

The first day, I slept a total of.....................1 Hour!

But the one hour was the OT's problem. Dun blame them.

It was because I was sleeping on a sensational pillow. Ask Yu Quan or Wei Lun of 1N about it.
Another reason was because I had an interesting conversation with Yu Quan until about 5+ a.m.

Once was dam funny.

We were talking about 'Need For Madness' at radical-play. We were talking about wasting cars.
"CRASH! BANG!"

Guess what happened. Wei Lun fell asleep while Yu Quan and I were still talking. Just as we were talking about wasting the cars. He kicked the cupboard and ........ you should know what had happened...

The weird thing is, after Wei Lun kicked the cupboard, he was still sleeping soundly I can't believe it! Doesn't he feel pain? He must really be the sleeping king!

Ok, I'm not going to get off the topic.

Lets talk about the events on the first day FIRST.

We had an interesting lesson on how to be an referee cause of the iLeague.
We watched some interesting video on soccer. The ones I liked best was the simply mad referee and Diego Maradona's 'hand of GOD'. The referee was chao siao.
His way of giving yellow card was--- "HAHAHAA". Cannot describe.

Diego Maradona was simply pro. He scored a goal with his hand and the referee didn't see a single thing.

Even I thought he scored by heading...

Then we had practicals in which we played street soccer. My team consisted of Wei Lun and two Sec 2s.

It was really disppointing at first. I let in a goal. Then the keeper was changed to a Sec 2. A short time after, Wei Lun passed the ball to me and I charged ahead and I SCORED the opening goal for our team. YEA!

Soon we let in another goal but we won by scoring 3! The was funny goal was by a fat Sec 2 in our team called Yi Yong. He scored by boucing the ball in. LOL

Soon after that, we left for the next destination. NTU.

ZZZ... the bus could not get out of school... the door was locked...

We waited and waited and waited.
Finally a security guard strolled towards us.

@#%$&!#%&^$

After much effort, the bus finally got out of HCI.
We got to NTU and had a wonderful lunch cooked by our dear OT.

After that, we had a FOUR hours training on organising an event. We still need to write a proposal on activities on EOYA and present it on the last day.

ZzZzZzZzZzZz.
Dead boring.

Before that, I found out that I was the room master for our room. YIPPEE!

Straight after the four hour ordeal was our dinner.

After dinner was Ambassadorship Training by John Lee. He was a very humorous person. Uses alot of chimp words in his presentation and speak with a strange accent. But he was freaking pro and knows FIVE languages. But... his spelling errors in the powerpoint presentation was unforgivable.

Soon after that, we went to the hall for movie screening. Huo Yuan Jia (fearless).
No Popcorns. Sob Sob...

After that we finally went to bed which I slept 1 hour.
Zzz........

Geography Project

Just the night before, Marcus called me and asked me to go to school tomorrow, which is today, to do our geography project.

It is very important to us as it is worth up to EIGHT ACEs.

But the time to go to school made me very unhappy. Marcus suggested to go at 9a.m. and everyone in our group agreed.

Actually, 9a.m. is a very bad timing for me.

For one good reason.
Sleep.

If I want to reach school at or before 9, I have two ways of transport, my father's car or the bus. Of coz, I would prefer to be on the car.....

But...

Due to my father's working time, if I want a lift, I need to wake up at about 7.15. Thats very early for a holiday! (I'm so lazy) and I may possibly reach school at 7.50. Thats one hour before time! And I know my group will be late...

If I want bus, I need to wake up at maybe 7.30 to make sure I would not be late.

Only 20 minutes more to sleep. In the end, the car is still my choice.

Ok. An announcement.

Hem.. Hem...

I now solemnly annouce that the above few paragraphs are all Crap. Don't you agree?

@#$^^$##%^&@#
I know this is how you are feeling now

ARTS-------NOW!

Eh...
I dunno what to write.

Ok, we did some research on the subject. Lame things.

I found some maps that may prove useful.

Everyone was late except I was 1hour and 15 minutes early. sad.

Yi Chao was 30 minutes late but I think he found some useful data from horrible geagraphy. Well done man!

Binglin and Marcus also did some write up which I haven't read yet. We need at least 2000 words!

I went to have an early lunch and went home. So sianz.

NPCC Swearing-in ceremony+ A series of unfortunate events

Today, I went to school although it was school holiday.

Guess why?

Today was a very important day for me as an NPCC cadet.
We need to go for the swearing-in ceremony together with several other schools in zone 15, including St Joseph Institution, Nanyang Girls High school, Gim Moh Secondary School, and the newly formed unit of Raffles Girls School.

I reached the conference room at 7.51a.m. I thought I was very early.
Dam it, I was dreadfully wrong. The room was almost full by then.

On the way there, I met Li Ki.
I wondered why he was there. Then he told me he was there for Mr. Quek.

Then I remembered.
We iSpark Sec 1s were were supposed to have an english mock test with Mr.Quek today.

Luckily some of my friends and I are from NPCC.

We can escape the ordeal for the moment.
Soon, I was falling in with the police uniform ( had some problems putting on the boots though.

No more words to described it.

It simply ****s.

Wearing it seemed to be baked in the oven.
Oh god bless me. Still have to stand in the sun. I'm roasted.

The beret made it even worse.

Also, I know I'm dead. I did not iron my uniform! Oh shit, we will have a uniform check later.

Bad things never end. Soon we were given our name tags and were expected to put in on. Poor me, no matter how I try, it would not look nice. It would be either slanted or overlapping with my pocket. In the end, I had to ask Soo Wee to help me put it on.

After that, my luck went down again. I forgot to bring my wallet! And we had to pay $2.50 for the ceremony. I asked Nicholas Low for the money.

Dam, I still owe darius $5 .....

At 9+, we finally went into the auditorium and we could take of the stupid beret.
We settled down and waited for the ceremony to begin.

Soon we had a ten-minute break.
Soo Wee, Javan, Chunqi and I rushed to meet Mr. Quek to talk about the mock test thingy.

It was finally settled to be on wednesday.

Then we went back to the auditorium.
We had a quiz.

I can't believe it. Our Hwa Chong Unit came in SECOND.

And RAFFLES came in FIRST. They were new, and we were the best unit in Singapore. We lost to them. ( Although maybe Javan is quite happy they won, 1M people should know why.)

@#$%^&*&^%$#@#$%^&!@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#

We lost to a brand new unit! I cannot stand their screaming.

Too bad. :(

After the swearing in, we paid money and settled many things.
When we went for the refresments, All the food was finished. Our Unit paid $2.50 for nothing!

Soon, all other schools left and we had our uniform check. I contributed 5 pumpings. Soo Wee contributed ten.
I think the top record was 35, which was Pin Yi.

Soon, we were dismissed. Another unfortuante event. My ez-link card was in my wallet which i did not bring!

I need to borrow coins from Chunqi, Soo Wee, Tingyit. Now I owe dam lot of debts.

Finally home.

Tomorrow is SMO, I'm dead............

A tiring, boring, slacking ...... day

Yesterday was the last day of the semester.

I wished it was fun.

But it disappointed me like the Sec 1 camp, although not that much.
At the start of the day, it was very interesting, maybe the best lesson we had with Mr. Quek.

He seemed to become our physics teacher. He talked about Einstein's theory and bla bla bla.
He also talked about 'anti-matter' which I could not understand. It is the opposite of matter, I know, but what is it?

He said a scientific fact could be broken.
Newton's law that time can never change was broken after TWO HUNDRED years by Albert Einstein.

Einstein proved that time could change on a special condition, that is, to travel at a speed near or equal to the speed of light.

It seemed quite unbelievable.
If you travel at the speed of light, you could travel into the future like a time machine. You may even travel to the doomsday of earth.

Time will seem to freeze. Time will goes on normally for you, but you will see the earth spinning super fast and the time on earth on earth is passing super fast.

When you step on earth again, it may be a few billions years later.

Simply amazing. Time travel!!!

Can you believe it?

Another amazing thing is the black hole. When you are about to be sucked in, time will freeze.
You may seem to see the end of the world.

Someone, I think Tian Hao, said it would be fun.
Mr. Quek then asked him to go and take a look. LOL

But that is one bad thing about traveling on the speed of light. You can never go back in time.

Also, it is impossible at the moment. No energy is great enough to propel us at that speed.

But that is one way to make us go back in time. Mr. Quek said if you can make earth move on the speed of light and you stay outside earth, you can actually go back in time. But that is even more impossible to happen.

Soon, the interesting lesson ended. After recess, we went for our EOTA (End Of Term Activity).

For, we iSpark Sec 1s, ours were the most boring. The tree-top walk at macritchie( I dunno how to spell sorry). You know what, I found out from some ProED people and found out that their EOTA was a hundred times more fun than ours. Ice Skating! So fun sia.

I went there once and know that it would be dam tiring and boring.
But later I found out that it was not as tiring as I went last time. Maybe it was because they chose the shortest route.

...But, Joseph Kang, from 1L could not take it, so pathetic.
After we made it up a small slope, I heard him talking to Miss Gwee, " I cannot walk anymore. "

Actually the slope was QUITE tiring. I slanted uphill at a degree of about 45 degrees.
It made quite an effort to make it to the top. At one time, I thought Ernest was going to fall down. Immediately I tried to push him. But my action made him nearly fall down.

Wonder what will happen if he really fell...

My apologies here Ernest... Sorry, sorry, sorry.

When we crossed te bridge, it was as fun as i went here the last time. We kept stopping because of Seng Peing. He is afraid of heights I think. Any minor shaking of the bridge would make him stop walking in fear, making everyone grumble, Hong Wei the loudest.

Soon we crossed the bridge and there was a never ending flight of stairs and even I was a little exhausted over there.

The stairs really never seemed to end. Ernest also exclaimed that.

In the end, I used all my energy and chiong passed Yong Quan, Eugene Wei Xiang... and... finally... reached... the top... only to find more stairs going downwards. WTF.

My buddy Sze Yuan is always lagging behind... aiya

The rest was just simply walking and I do not wish to talk about to talk about it anymore.

At two thirty, I went for NPCC Training. The training was chao slack. We did about nothing except falling in, pumping and sitting down do nothing.

One of then cadets, Jun Xian, had a very gay yet funny look. He could play around with his eyebrows easily. He made me laugh until I had stomachache.

Soon, we could go home.

Holidays at last!!!!

Our Assembly Today

Wah, I am finally posting on our assemblies again.

Today, we had our third consortium assembly this year. This time, I did not ask anyone to tie the tie for me. (weird- tie the tie) Never mind, anyway, I think I tied the tie wrongly.
at least better than Sze Yuan. In the end I used my lousy way to tie it for him. Lol.

Ok, stop talking crap.
p.s. Wei Xiang look damn funny with the tie. He looked like an oversize baby. ( This is not flaming ok!)

The consortium assembly went on quite smoothly except that Miss Letchmi said the choice of song was not good enough as no one knows how to sing it. I agree. =)

The assembly was quite boring actually.

Our class was humiliated when Miss letchmi asked our dear chairman Soo wee to stand up and talk about your gentlemanly behaviour in our class. Soo wee must be feeling very embarrassed when he stood there speechless.

Poor porky(Soo Wee's nickname).

Forget it. Bad experience.
The 2 N chairman was very funny when he gave his answer. The whole drama centre burst out laughing.

You know what he said?

He said: " when we bow to the teachers, we bow from our hearts."
LOL.
Very gooooooooood.
At first, I did not hear what he said, then Wei Xiang told me and I was choking with laughter( a bit exaggerating).

Then we had a talk on the SLC, a time when we had to present our achievements to our parents. I'm so nervous. It would be in September, which is nearing.

We were also briefed on our EOTA, which we Sec 1s will be going to the tree-top walk.

I went there before. It was really sian and tired like shit. I really don't feel like going. too bad, it's a must. =(

Ok, I want to stop writing now, still need to revise for my math and science test. I must get A1! But I'm doubtful about science. I cannot remember many things. Oh no!
Aiya, I will try my best. Bye bye!

p.s. I awaiting for the world cup to arrive. I wish Brazil would win again!

Today

The title of this blog doesn't seem interesting isn't it?

Never mind, thats because my english standard is too poor, I can't write anything attractive.
(sign...)
Mr Quek won't be happy. =(

Actually I'm quite free these days as it is the sabbatical week and we don't have the normal sickening load of homework. Thats why I have so much time to blog!

Don't say I'm complaining about the teachers.
I am NOT. I hate homework does not mean I hate teachers.

Anyway, today was quite fun as we had the chance to play in the dark.

I will talk about the details later.

Now, lets start from the beginning of the day. When I went to school, I saw a funny sight.

One name to describe it. Wei Xiang.

I was very surprise when I went to school today. When I got of the bus, I saw lots of people outside and seemed to be waiting for something.
Then I as walked on, I saw Wei Xiang and Seng Peing.
I know why the people were there once I saw them. They were going on a trip to Malaysia! So Shuang!

Wei Xiang was really very funny. Everyone was carrying a normal school bag. You want to know what Wei Xiang was carrying? He had a full luggage and a big plastic bag.

I nearly laughed.

His mother really cared him a lot.

But my view was-------he was bringing a full load of CUTE THINGS. Lol My friends and I went for our sabbaticals.
Today was quite chaotic for my group. We don't know where to go!

But did not took us long to find out that we were supposed to go to the photonics lab, just opposite Space.
But some of my friends, like Javan and Binglin seemed to have difficulty finding us. They entered the lab quite long after we were sitted down.
We learned about lasers.

Interesting. Especially when the one teaching us was the Lester, the fat guy from 2L.

We had quite a lot of fun. Remember I said we played in the dark.
It was true. We were supposed to make our own holograms. I was quite unlucky. I wanted to be the third person to do it.

But in the end I became the last in my group of 6. Position 3, 4 and 5 were taken by Binglin, Soo Wee and Wenshen.

Discrimination! Lol. I'm mimicking Yi Chao. Discrimination!

Wenshen even called me 'noobie'! How could he! I'm copying Wei Xiang this time. He like to say 'how could you' and 'how dare you...'. After we made the holograms, we left it to dry and went to learn about optical illusions. Fun!

This was one of my favourite.

Isn't it nice?

After that we got back our holograms.
Mine's was really lousy.
Actually there should be an image of a coil of wire and a battery.

But in the end only the battery's image was left.
And it was totally bad-can be only seen in very strong light.

Tian Hao was so lucky. His was the best. The image was so dam clear.

Soon we were dismissed.

p.s. I played chapteh and killed opponents five times---the top record.
I killed Marcus 3 times.

A senior also joined in and we turned against him, finally killing him.

Sabbatical!

Today was so fun.
It can be considered as no school. YIPPEE.
We Sec 1s had our first sabbaticals. My sabbatical is 'Science Eureka', which many of my classmates were also in.

It was quite fun actually, we had the chance to mess with chemicals.

BUT, a very sad fact, I don't understand about the components at all.
And I don't understand why each reaction happen. It was a complete puzzle for me. Even my partner, our science whizz, Samurai Javan, looked perplexed(the word used might be too strong).

Nevertheless, it was quite interesting to play with the chemicals.
Javan and I made a soap ourself!
p.s. Actually it was not totally a great acommplishment by ourselves. We just blindly followed the instructions on the worksheet. Lol, but everyone is doing the same! Cannot blame us!

We also made some crystals ourselves.
We were so sad. Our crystals seemed to be the smallest among all the students.
:( :( :(

During recess, we played a game of chapteh in the parade square.
Sze Yuan was really pro.
There were two chaptehs.
In the end there was none. WHY?
Sze Yuan kick both of them up the roof. One was dangling on a pole while one was on a light.

Before that, lets talk about the game.
We played like this:
Each of us were in charge of a big square on the ground. Each one of us had ten lives at first. If the chapteh lands on your square, one life is deducted. You are considered dead and out if you lose all your lives.
You need to pump ten times to get back to the game.

I successfully 'killed' Kezheng. Yeah!

Soon after that, Chern Yuen was also 'killed'.
He kept saying that accuse him of having 3 lives when he had 7.
Chern Yuen, please count carefully.

But unfortunately after that, everyone started to aim the chapteh at mean to 'kill me'. Soon I was only left with one life.
But Sze Yuan saved me.
He kicked the chapteh up onto the light and thus I don't have to pump. Thanks bro.

After the recess. we went back for yet another experiment.
Too bad, we did wrongly for our first try and had to do everything again.

Soon, the bell rang again. We were dismissed.
I had another game of chapteh with Yuxuan and several others. Yuxuan was so bad. In order to sabo me, he purposely let the chapteh fall on the floor.

Everyone aimed at me!

Discrimination!
Lol.

Ok, I'm so tired of typing and typing.
Bye Bye for today!

Chunqi!!!

I never launched any personal attack to anyone on my blog before, but today I cannot bear with it anymore.

Chunqi is too much.

I have already tried to bear with him for a very long time...
But I feel that I have to talk about this.

First things first, what had he done, lets see.
I think he must have got affected by Tian Hao or something and became excactly like Tian Hao, including the unacceptable behaviour (touching people etc.) or maybe, Chunqi is even worse.
At least Tian Hao knows when to stop. Thats good.

But Chunqi doesn't.
I was outrageous when he changed our marching timing, left, left, left right.... and the stopping command behendi to something really pervert. I don't want to annouce what it is, as it is really impolite and consisted of vulgarities.

If you have the experience, you would know that it's very uncomfortable to stay near to Chunqi, as he will do
things to you.

Ok, we mustn't say that Chunqi is totally bad.
Everyone have their own qualities.
I remember durig our NPCC camp, he graciously helped Soo Wee and I to washt the cooking materials.
Also, once(although I forgot when), he helped me one of my heavy bags when I could not.

Thats very good. He can be helpful at times.

Chunqi, one final message for you.
I really hope you can try to curb you bad habits.
Please, you really need to stop doing and talking about pervert things.
You know what Javan will do when you talk about Orange and him. A simple joke is enough. Just stop.
Don't do what you did today, repeatedly talking about what they do on bed, which is not a fact at all.

See what had happened. You caused Javan's finger to be injured. And after that, why can't you say sorry?
Please. Just Stop it.

Our Assembly today

This post is yet another of our assembly reports.
Wonderful, isn't it?

Okay, I will stop talking crap.
Lets proceed straight to the topic.

Today, we had an assembly! (still crap) Assembly have a chairman, panelists and Mr. Hon (Crap).................................

Ok, I will be serious now.

Our discussion for assembly today was about the three day IT learning for Aphelion and ProED. To bad, iSpark was not involved.
So, I had nothing to say.

But.....lets talk about the climax for today's assembly.
One word could be the topic for the climax.

Joseph.

It was so funny.
Mr. Hon asked him out to give his views.
Then Mr. Hon ask him to tuck in his shirt.
For a reason, I do not know, he ran and hid from Mr. Hon before tucking in his shirt. Our principal was amused. So was I.

Everyone laughed.

Then Mr. Hon commented, although he could not see Joseph, 500 people could. Whats the point.

After that, Mrs Chan let us sing my favourite song, pengyou by Zhou Huajian. You can hear the song at my friend, Tan wei Xiang's blog.
Then, we were given a talk on CIP.
After that, assembly was over.

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is life...

Today, I learnt something important about life.
Life is never like we wish.
Today, we had our set game challenge. Javan and I agreed on a deal to meet Yuxuan in the finals.
Too bad, our promise was broken.

Ok, lets talk from the start of the competition. We , or I mean, our class, was so unlucky! We fought with our own classmates in the first two rounds! First round was versus Soo Wee and Marcus. It was close. But luck was on Javan and my side as Soo Wee lost his entire stack of cards. So Javan and I beat them.

I felt sad for them. We were classmates after all.
They left the competition sadly.
The second match was against Binglin and Wenshen, our classmates again!

OMG

This was the match Javan went mad. He alone trashed both Binglin and Wenshen badly.

HE GOT A TOTAL OF 16 SETS!

Binglin whispered, "Spare us man!"
Many of the organising people crowded around our team, talking about Javan. They said he was 'in-ba' although I don't know what that mean excactly, I think they were saying that Javan was super pro.
The whispering around us made me feel awkward, as I only got 5 sets, which made me seemed useless beside a pro.

The third round.
Our luck went down.
I accidentally lost my stack during the 7th minute as I took a wrong set. The gossipers around us said my team still had hope as Javan still had 13 sets.
However, after 1minute, Javan lost his stack too! Our two Sec 2 opponents cheered. We were actually trashing them!

Oh no.

I totally lost hope as could not find any sets at all.
Javan was frantically searching. He was drenched with sweat.
Javan also showed that he was nervous as he got several wrong sets continuously.

Finally, he found one set.
Ring....
Time's up.
Oh dam, we lost badly.
We were the only group for our class that was left and we lost!!!

But our genius Javan seemed to have six-sense. As I was about to leave, he called me back and told me maybe there was some sort of revival round.

To my surprise, after five minutes, our group was called back to the competition room again. Javan was right!

This time, I gave in my best effort and Javan and I both found 8 to 9 sets, trashing the opponent. We were overjoyed.
Soon, we were called in for the semi-finals.
We met with yet another Sec 2 team.

We commited the same mistake again.
Javan lost his stack of 10+ sets.
Within the last two minutes, Javan went mad. He found sets after another.
We have hope!

But...........................................
The opposing team cheated!
After the bell rang, they took another set!
I tried to protest but the judge said it was allowed. I was baffled. Allowed?
I tried to create an uproar but was silenced by the phrase, ' the judges decision is final.'

I was simply exploding with rage. As they counted the cards, we lost by one set. ONE SET. They cheated the ONE SET.
Later I found out the judge was our opponents classmate.
How could he be so biased!

So in the end, we lost.
End of Story.

Moral of story:
Life is never fair, but sometimes we could do nothing about it.
Just go on with life.

So Surprised!!!!!!

Today, we got back our english results.
It was a great shock to me.
Really, a very great shock. I'm serious.

Why?

I simply couldn't believe it la man!
I got the highest in class, together with Yong Quan I think. Although, I had a tie with Yong Quan, but I am already very satisfied.
I seldom even get an A1 for english as it had been my weakest subject since primary school.

I am very happy for another reason.
I finally beat our 'horny king'. If you are from 1M, you should know who.

Ok, I'm not writing this entry to show of my grades. Don't think I'm proud or anything.
Now, I should not be complacent. I may easily drop to a B4 the next test if I don't work hard.

Oh ya, I have one more thing to say.
It is about Mr Quek.
He scared Dion, me, Chern Yuen and Ting Yit.
On the GEP open house, he said the four of us got B4 and above. Actually, it is A2 and above. he should had said that. That would not make us so worried.

Never mind Mr Quek, I'm not blaming you, but please tell us more accurate grades next time.

GEP Open House

Today I went to school at 7.00 for the GEP Open house.
All councillors must go so early.

So bad!
:( :(

Never mind. Anyway, I was so lucky.
I did not even know that the time was 7. I thought it was 7.30!

But told you, I was so lucky today. I woke up early and reached school at 6.45! I thought I would be the only one in school. But I was wrong. Many people were already there!

But..............................

Luck slipped away from me when it came to the jobs.

There were several booths to register the parents.
Everyone rushed.
I did not get any booth.
I was jobless.

So together with Yongzhi, Li Ki, kenneth, Chong Jiat and a sec 2 iCMG, we were supposed to wait outside the clock tower and direct the parents to the correct booths for registration.

I thought it wasn't so bad.

Kenneth got the six sense.
He seemed to know what will happen and escaped for a new job, photograhing, just in time.

Chong Jiat, on the other hand, disappeared to nowhere.
He simply vanished.
So slack.

The parents started streaming in at about 9.10am.
Yong Zhi also vanished. What the hell!!!!

I later found out that he went to help to direct the parents coming in from the back of the registration booths.

I sort of believed, but now I still doubt the truth.
The ordeal for me started at 9.30am. Its not the problem with more and more parents coming in.
The problem is..................
The sun.

It shone mercilessly at me, scorching my poor skin. Within minutes. I was drenched.
I could hardly force a smile, or even... open my eyes. But that Zachary told me. Maintain your 'smile'. OMG.

Even my loyal Li Ki slacked for some time by disappearing into thin air. At least he returned quick enough.
Yong Zhi finally returned.
Slacker Kenneth continued with his pointless photographing.
Even Chong Jiat returned, with his pants completely wet and unable to face the parents.
What in Hwa Chong had he done!

After about one more hour, the terrible ordeal ended.
Oh, I forgot one thing.
While I was welcoming the parents, I saw Porky and Markers (both nicknames) strolling in. They looked so relaxed while I was dieing........................

After the torture ended, I went back to Oops room with my friends for a rest.

At about 11+, our job started again.
The parents were having their refreshments.
Our job was to usher the parents who had finished their food to either the school tour or the student sharing session.

This was the rather chaotic and messy situation. Many parents could not find their children.
The situation was simply out of control.

I approached several parents to ask them to go to the student sharing session or schoo tour but most of them turned down my offer with various reasons. Most of them wanted to go home.

Can be understood.
I remember when I came for DSA exercise last year, the most I want was to return home.

So, the whole thing ended at 1.30.
I took a bun and a drink and went home.

Home sweet home!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Creative

My friend, Alvin, sent me quite an interesting email today.
So, I have decided to share in on my blog. You can also try it out.

Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question.
You have to answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of them immediately.

OK?

Let's find out just how clever you really are....

Ready? GO!!!

(scroll down)First Question:You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you are second!Try not to screw up next time.
Now answer the second question, but don't take as much time as you took for the first question, OK?
Second Question:If you overtake the last person, then you are...? (scroll down)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?You're not very good at this, are you?

Third Question:Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 . Now add 30. Add another1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000 Now add 10. What is the total? Scroll down for answer.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you get 5000? The correct answer is actually 4100. If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator! Today is definitelynot your day, is it?Maybe you'll get the last question right........Maybe.
Fourth Question:Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono.What is the name of the fifth daughter?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you Answer Nunu?NO! Of course it isn't.Her name is Mary. Read the question again!

Okay, now the bonus round:A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully expresses himself to theshopkeeper and! the purchase is done.Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair ofsunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He just has to open his mouth and ask...It's really very simple....
Unique Day
Today, we had a total of two tests, which is the maximum number of tests we could have in a day. Anyway, it is the unlucky day for me as the tests were my weakest subjects, english and literature. :(
Never mind, lets talk about something else first.
Our Mathematics lesson was especially unique today. We did not have lessons! :)
Instead, we played a game!
The game is the one that will be played during math week, the set game.
??????????? Set game??????????
You might not know what that is. That was what happened to me when I heard of it. ??????
But too bad, the set game challenge fell on a Thursday which we will have our chinese common test.
But Mr. Lee promised us he would try to make Miss Gwee to change the date. I hope he succeeds.
In that case, I already 'booked' our math wiz, the samurai Javan!
The game is like this.
Twelve card, I think would first be laid out on the table and each team would try to find a set.
To find a set, it determins on four simple variables: colour, filling, shape and number.
To make a set, the variable must be all different all different or any of them is all same.
example.
three different shapes, three different colour, three different filling but three same number makes a set.
The game ends when neither of the pairs could form any sets any more.
Lets come back to talk about the tests.
In conculsion, the tests were easier than I thought, especially english, which was much better than or usual RGS GEP ones. Those RGS comprehensions are tough like siao.
I only got one A1.
However, I am a little nervous about the literature.
I some sort of 'forgot' who Benjamin was in Animal Farm.
I hope I will improve on these two from the previous term. My msg last term was horrifying. 2.7! Below average.
I must work harder.
Thats it, I will end typing today.
I still need to prepare for my RP tommorow against Ernest.
P.S.
We had an interesting fight in class today. It was between the allied forces of our samurai Javan and sumo wrestler Chunqi against Jit Woon. I might write an entry about this next time, preferbally by next week. Look out fot the post!
A good Deed
Last Friday, we got back our math test results. I was depressed! I only got a B3!
I was very, very sad.
But to my surprise, someone was even in a better mood than me.
The person was no other than Yi Chao. Yi Chao, if you are reading this, have you felt better?
Never mind, Yi Chao could not control his anger that day and offended many of our classmates and our teacher.I don't understand why.
He got an A1! He told me he was angry because many people did better than him and his score was below average.
I tried to calm him down, but to no avail.
I cracked my brain to think of a solution.
Finally, I got an idea that may work. I thought of his favourite action- stamping. Ya, he does not dare to stamp during lessons. You are very considerate, Yi Chao, thats good.
So, I thought about it and after class when nearly everyone had left, I told him, "If you are angry, just stamp.you can vent your anger this way. " Thus, I stamped with him and we started a 'stamping parade'. I realised even I myself felt better after that.
When Yi Chao left, he also looked more cheerful. I had a sense of satisfactory.
I made him cheered up! I also cheered up myself. This is 'yi4 ju3 liang3 de2' in mandarin.
So, a message to people who are reading this blog: if you are feeling down, do something to vent your anger, don't keep it to yourself or vent it on other people.
Both Yi Chao and I commited this mistake.
I tried to keep it to myself and nearly cried(embarrassed now), while Yi Chao vented it on others.
Our similar way of venting anger was to stamp feet. So fun!
An essay of a battle
Hem, today I saw one of the most exciting fights goin on in 1M. It is so exciting that I had decided to write an essay on it.(Mr Quek, do not take the fight too seriously as I will be exaggerating a lot of times)
It is between our Samurai- Javan Lee Tze han and his arch enemy, the small sized Brolin Wong Ching Wei!
Small-sized doesn't prove anything. His power could clearly be shown from his agility and speed. He is not an easy opponent. He is also well known for his ability to cheat to win the fight.
Sadly, I did not had the chance to watch the complete show. :-(
But never mind, I got the climax! :-D
It started like this...
I had just finshed my bowl of noodles in the canteen, licking my kips in satisfactory, still savouring the wonderful taste in my mouth.
As I walked near the classroom, I heard cheers and roars. I was shocked. Could it be.........
I dashed with all my energy towards the classroom, not bothering of my cramp in my stomach. I just wanted to see what happened.
I reached the classroom.
The first thing I saw was everyone cheering. I rushed ahead, just in time to see Javan lunge his Samurai attack on Brolin. Suddenly somebody pulled me back. It was our cute boy, Tan Wei Xiang, with a baby face which our chinese teacher remarked that he looked like our campus superstar, Chee Yang!
Anyway, he pulled me back, and said that I was standing in the battling arena. He did not want me to get injured.
Anyway, I was distracted again by yet another roar. Now I noticed that Javan and Brolin were playing some sort of 'fencing' . They were holding shuttlecock containers and slashing here and there.
To my surprise, I found out that our aggresive javan was quite passive today, most of the time defending against Brolin's attack.
But I was wrong. I soon found out that Javan was actually waiting for chance for attack. No wonder, he is one of the cleverest boy in our class. Javan's attack caused another roar by the class.
He suddenly lift his 'sword' high into the sky, and WHAM! Down it went. That blow would definitely be deadly fatal. Brolin was fortunate that he managed to block it.
After the blow, Brolin seemed to lose his confidence and started stop attacking. That gave Javan the chance he was waiting for, for his ultimate attack. He charged, swinging his 'sword' with lightning speed. Brolin seemed not able to withstand any longer.
The winner seemed to be confirmed.
But fate was not on our righteous Javan.
Brolin, who was losing, used his last resort. he kicked (omg) Javan's groin. Oh I hope Javan could withstand that. Brolin cheated!
I pointed that out but he said, " Just now you never say cannot kick what!".
I was speechless.
Poor Javan, he lost.
The samurai finally lost. He had defeated so many. Now he's down too.
Now the fight ended.
A piece of advice, never challenge the samurai to a fight.
Since he lost, he would train more to be invincible. Never, ever try him, if not, good luck.
Minority of what I had written is true.Don't take it seriously, Mr Quek.
But, enjoy, you can give me a grade too(Most Probably F9 if marked by Mr Quek)
My english standard "Rox".
Our Assembly this week
Yesterday, which is Monday, we had our usual assembly. But theres something special about this assembly.You wanna know what?Yes?
It's a consortium assembly!
I'm so lame. haha :)
Anyway, a consortium assembly IS SPECIAL in some ways.
One of it is because we had it with our sec 2 seniors. Another thing was that we must wear ties.(Special, but I don't like a single bit) I look so silly with it!
Also I don't know how to tie. In the end, I had to ask good boy Dion to tie it for me. I am such an idiot.
This is only the second consortium assembly since I first came into Hwa Chong. I wonder why. We have four months with only two consortium assemblies.
The main topic for the assembly is to discuss whether the school or consortium should organise CIP (Community Involvement Activities) for the students.
Miss Tey, our head of consortium, wanted to discuss about this because the CIP programme organised last week was a 'disaster'. It was to fold paper lotuses for a organisation. It was said that out of all the paper given out, only half of the paper lotuses were accepted.
OMG!
Miss Tey was especially unhappy because the students did not treat the activity serious.
One person pointed out that actually the students turned the activity into some sort of competition by trying to fold as many lotuses as possible, thus causing many lotuses to be in an unacceptable condition.
Actually, that is true because many of my classmates were doing that too. They keep asking me, "How many you have now?" although I did not compete with them.
When they saw that I had a lot less than them, they will jeer me and call me a 'noob'. When I had only 5 lotuses, they more than 10.
Some people suggested the school or consortium providing CIP activities that barely reach the minimum number of hours so that the people wanting to earn awards will need to work for extra CIP hours themselves.
I generally agree with this so that students would not completely rely on the school.
After the discussion, we learnt about malay culture- In a special way.
We ate Malay food in their traditional way, that is to eat with hands.
But before that, a Malay teacher came to talk to us about how to eat and about the food.
To bad, I cannot understand a single word because the talk was in Malay. I could only blindly look at the slides in front of me.
After the talk, we proceeded to the Boarding School for the food. =)
Once we reached the boarding school, everyone crowded around Chern Yuen, the Malaysian scholar in our class, to take us to his apartment as he live in the boarding school.
We had our food in somewhere like a multi-purpose hall. We had to wash our hand in a bowl of water in front of us. After the food, some people wash their hands in the bowl again, then it became a bowl of 'curry soup'.
Disgusting!
Anyway, the food was quite nice and many people took a second serving. WALAO SO GREEDY.
Thats all I got to say today, watch out for my next post!
Our Assembly today
Today, our assembly was mainly about the banning of students' iVLE accounts.
Ok, first if your not from Hwa Chong, iVLE would be an alien word to you. Let me first explain to you what it is.
It is the short form for Integrated Virtual Learning Environment.
iVLE is somewhere we can download notes or submit our homework. We can also chat with our friends and teachers or set up a forum.
The problem is, some of the students were caught playing computer games in the school computer lab and were caught. Thus, their accounts were suspended by the technicians.
To reactivate the account, they need to get their parents' letter and pay $10.
Many of the students were unhappy with this rule.
So we discussed about the possible ways to solve the problem.
At first I thought that one easy way was for the school to make some sort of firewall to block all the game websites. However, as someone voiced it out, it was understood that there were many students whose computer skills are good enough to continue to visit game websites.
Another way I thought was many peoples' opinion, that is to suspend the offenders' school account only and not the iVLE.
Then a teacher(I forgot his name. OOPs!) explained that the iVLE and school account were somewhat connected in a way. To separate them would make us have the need to remember more passwords. Good point.
But I also have my own point. We could just set the same password for all the accounts we have.........
So it seemed the only way was still the same way again. sign.......
Our Assembly on Monday
I'm sorry that I had not updated my blog for a long time, but I really had no time.
Most of the time was spent on my website, which we were supposed to create using only the notepad.
I had a hard time doing it, which showed I was not very good in Infocomm Studies :( , but never mind, I still completed it, although it is really lousy and lame.
Click here to go to my website.
Ok, now lets stop wasting time on the excuses i have and go straight into my topic.
The assembly this week created quite an uproar due to the sensitive topic.
It was the problem of whether iSpark was discriminated by other consortiums.
One person, I don't know from what class, gave iSpark a personal attack.
By the way he talked, which Mr Hon, our principal caught, that boy was one who discriminates iSpark. He gave us a weird name 'iSparky'. Personally, I actually feel that the name is quite cute...
Also, someone else said that iSpark students are proud and unfriendly, which I totally disagree.
I am from iSpark, and I never was ignorant to people from other consortiums!
Ok, MAYBE there are a few of the people are not very friendly, but I believe every consortium have someone like that!
Why must the people just find fault with iSpark?
Just as Miss Letchmi had said, finding fault with someone is the easiest but we should always look at someone's strengths as although we are from different consortiums, but overall, we are in the same school.
If only everyone could look at anothers' strengths then there would be no conflict between consortiums.
I just do not understand why Aphelion dislikes iSpark so much.
When we won the ANGLES speech competition 2006, we cheered for ourselves. However, just when we finished cheering, Aphelion immediately gave a resounding '3 cheers for Aphelion'.
Some of them even laughed at us because they cheered much louder.
And this was not the first time. They also did this during the sec 1 camp.
What is this?
Are they trying to show they are better than us? Whats the use?
I will never understand.
I sincerely hope that the discrimination between consortiums will stop.
P.S. One good news. I had finally became a Councillor-in-training. We will be having a welcome party this coming friday. :)
Sec 1 annual camp
Last week, from monday to wednesday, we had our Sec 1 annual camp.
I was very disappointed with it. :(
I thought it was going to be a very fun and exciting camp. In the end, it was exactly different from what I thought.
Throughout the camp, most of the time we were slacking and doing nothing. Meanwhile, some of the instructors were very fierce to us for nothing.
I especially hate the eating time. We had to do the silly 'Makan Cheer' before we could it. It was a torture, the food is in your hands but you cannot eat it. How terrible!
Once, I was very excited about the war games. I thought it
was going to be fun.
However, it turn out to be a 'tragedy'. We were so pathetic, only allowed to have TWO bombs only.
Also, much to my surprise, Javan the cleverest boy in my class forgot about the rules. He led Jit Woon to the safety zone to attack.
In the end, we got reprimanded by the instructor.
The baths are the most unforgettable in my life. We must bath in full view others! We just take pails, fill them with water and splash them over ourselves. We were also given very little time to bath.
Only about 2 minutes. So cruel!
I was very disappointed when they changed our sleeping plan. At the Adventure centre, we were supposed to sleep in tents. But, to my dismay, they changed it to the basketball court for god knows what reason. I was very very disappointed. It would be my first time sleeping in tents!
I was very glad when the last day came.
Home sweet Home at last! :)
So 爽 啊!
NPCC Camp: Day 2
I did not have a good sleep.
My friend Javan was so hardworking that he was doing HOMEWORK when we are trying to sleep.
Also, some people, although I don't know who they are, were playing with torchlights.
I spent about 40 minutes going to sleep.
I don't know why, but the next morning I woke up much earlier before my alarm ran off.
When we fell in outside our classroom, Javan deeply regretted that he did not sleep. He look like he was going to collapse.
After our CI(Cadet Inspector) Chao Rong arrived, we had our morning PT, short for physical training. We ran around the school and after that, we had games. We were split into two groups, one group for soccer and one for Frisbee. The group I was in was chosen for Frisbee. :(
None of us know the rules. CI Chao Rong explained to us the game. It is like this:
Each team will have a goal line. To score a point, somebody from your team must catch the Frisbee behind the opponents' goal line. Although the opponents had much more people, including our NCOs( But they don't know how to play...), our team trashed them badly, thanks to our CI. Hooray!
After some time, we switched to playing soccer. I was quite angry when one person want to play solo all the way although I was standing at a place that can easily score and no one was blocking me. The result, a draw,0-0. Actually we could have scored if given more time, we only played for about 15 minutes. Never mind, it's just a game.
After the PT, we had our breakfast at the concourse. I am very sad that the many of the squadmates are very selfish and do not care about others. When I opened the biscuit tin, everybody rushed and snatched although I asked them to take one by one slowly.
Nobody listened to me.
Those people that arrived late soon did not have any biscuits as I think some of the people took more than one packet.
Later, in that day, we also had campcraft lesson, which is only revision. We also practised drills and cleared up the place.
Finally, home sweet home...................
P.S. The day 2 of the camp was last Saturday. I wrote so late cause I went for the Sec 1 annual camp. Sorry.
NPCC Sec 1 camp: Day 1
Last Friday, which is supposed to be our EP3 day, was a special day for all NPCC cadets. We were going to have our sec 1 camp! I was very excited as it was going to be my first time staying outside home.
Also, during the camp, we will have our first ever 'Solo Night'. If you do not know what that is, it is a time at night that we sit alone at a specific place and not move around. Many of the squad mates were very frightened.
Lets talk about it later. For that day, we were first split into two groups, each was given one classroom to put our things and sleep for the night. Fortunately, most of my good friends were in the same group as me. After that, we had the UIG games and we played the 'war game'.
Let me tell you what is it like.
First, we were asked to take of our socks. Done. Next, we were asked to tie it around one of our arms.YUCK!!! For my group, we were supposed to tie on our right arm. So the game goes like this: we must first have a king.
For the first round, our king was someone called Terence, whom I think is a sec 3. Once we untie a person's sock from, his arm, he is considered out and 'dead'.
The first round was chaotic. Our king 'died before I knew where he went. So we started a second round. Although our team was seriously outnumbered(I think was by 2 times;NOT FAIR!!!), we were quite organised and I 'killed' two enemies. However, the third time was not so lucky. two people surrounded me and I ran here and there to prevent getting caught. However, One of them caught me and in the struggle, I tripped over something and fell onto the side of the drain I was taken away by CI Jin Kang and rested for a while so I do not know which team won. But in my own opinion, I think we lost. after that, we had a short game of water bomb cause we ran out of time. Then we had our survival cooking.
I grouped up with my friends Soo Wee and Chun Qi. We were very supportive and I was proud with the teamwork we displayed. I cooked for them and they cleared up the mess.
Wonderful! Lets not waste too much time talking about this. I want to share my experience during Solo Night.
Just tell you what we did after dinner in a short way.
We had a tower-building competition which my team came in second, then we had a bath, and practised on some cheers.
I forgot when our solo night started, but our seniors told us many ghost stories before we started and many of the people were terrified. Even I was a bit frightened. I may share some of the ghost stories next time. We were given a code:'Spongebob Squarepants' for the night to prevent being mistaken for a ghost.
My solo night was spent below a staircase near the library. At first I was quite scared and stuttered at every noise. Dreadful. My mind keep flashing with the ghost stories I heard. However, after half an hour I think, my mind settled down and I felt very very sleepy. After time which seemed like eternity. I heard the familiar voice ' spongebob' .
The Solo night ended.
We went to sleep at about 3 am.Ahhh...
Oh My God
I am very sorry to hear that the person who was playing computer in the computer lab had his account banned. He sure did not listen to my advice. And now its too late. I wonder how he would settle the problem.........
Our computer lab
Our school had a whole block of computer labs for the students' use. However, I discovered that one of my classmates were misusing it. Though being repeatedly reminded by our teachers, that person is still playing computer games on the internet. I hope the person would read this message and stop his act or I will soon post his name and the teachers would know. So, that person, please stop!
